RE: SHAPE OF TUNING PINS. Tuning levers are also available with a square or oblong tip, used on some very rare old European and antique pianos. If you need one of these specialty tips, please call (see Contact Me tab at top of page). I know that tuning pins often appear square on first glance, but are actually tapered (with flat sides) on most pianos and require the standard No. 2 star tip. Before ordering, check this picture of a **standard tuning pin to compare with your piano.
